FM-101-RD | FIELD//MED-1 (Wound Care Module) - Launch Edition
FM-101-RD | FIELD//MED-1 | Wound Care Module
Compact wound care built around the injuries you’re actually likely to encounter.
FIELD//MED-1 is a compact, purpose-built wound care module designed to give you the essentials for cleaning, covering, protecting, and managing common cuts, scrapes, abrasions, burns, and other minor wounds when a full medical kit isn’t practical.
Instead of inflating the piece count with dozens of nearly identical adhesive bandages, FM-101-RD combines multiple types of dressings, wound-cleaning supplies, topical treatments, gloves, wound closure strips, medical tape, and other useful components into a compact FIELD//MOD package.
For the initial release, FIELD//MED-1 also includes a 5" × 9" sterile ABD pad as part of the Launch Configuration, giving the module substantially more capability for larger wounds without adding unnecessary bulk.
(A FIELD//MED-1 instruction card is also included inside every kit but may not be pictured in product photography.)
LAUNCH CONFIGURATION // 5" × 9" ABD PAD
Every component in FIELD//MED-1 should earn the space it takes up.
For the launch configuration, we’ve added a sterile 5" × 9" abdominal pad to expand what the module can handle when smaller gauze pads and adhesive dressings simply aren’t enough.
ABD pads are large, highly absorbent sterile dressings that provide considerably more coverage and absorbency than standard gauze. Their size makes them useful for larger wounds, broad abrasions, heavier wound drainage, protective coverage, additional padding, and reinforcement of a pressure dressing.
Combined with the ½" × 10-yard medical tape roll included in FIELD//MED-1, the ABD pad can be positioned and secured across areas where traditional adhesive bandages may be too small or impractical.
Potential uses include:
-
Larger cuts and wounds
-
Broad abrasions and road rash
-
Heavier wound drainage
-
Reinforcement beneath a pressure dressing
-
Protective coverage over minor burns
-
Padding over an injured or sensitive area
-
Secondary coverage over another dressing
-
Situations where smaller gauze pads do not provide enough surface area
The ABD pad remains individually sterile-packed until needed and adds minimal weight and bulk to the overall module.
For the initial production run, the ABD pad is being included as a Launch Field-Test Component. We want customers to carry it, evaluate the added capability, and tell us whether it deserves a permanent position in the FIELD//MED-1 loadout.

WHY FIELD//MED-1 EXISTS
A wound care kit doesn’t need 100 pieces to be useful.
It needs the right pieces.
FIELD//MED-1 was designed around common problems where having basic medical supplies immediately available can make a significant difference: a cut at the range, torn skin while working on a vehicle, a scraped knee on the trail, an abrasion during travel, or a larger wound that requires more coverage than a standard adhesive bandage can provide.
The different dressing sizes allow you to match the material to the injury instead of trying to make one type of bandage work for everything.
Antiseptic wipes provide a means of cleaning around minor wounds. Gauze, non-adherent dressing, transparent film, and the Launch Configuration ABD pad provide several levels of wound coverage. Medical tape allows dressings to be secured where adhesive bandages may not work well. Topical packets provide additional options for minor wound and skin care.
The included waterproof, two-sided FIELD//MED-1 Quick-Reference Card stays inside the module, providing clear, easy-to-follow guidance for using the dressings, wound-closure strips, 5″ × 9″ ABD pad, and other kit components when they are needed most.
Everything is selected to provide useful capability while keeping FIELD//MED-1 small enough to actually carry.
BUILT FOR MODULAR READINESS
FM-101-RD is part of the FIELD//MOD modular preparedness system.
Rather than forcing every possible medical, water, fire, repair, and survival component into one oversized bag, FIELD//MOD separates capabilities into compact modules that can be carried individually or combined according to the situation.
FIELD//MED-1 focuses specifically on wound care.

THE FIELD//MOD STANDARD
No inflated piece counts.

No assumption that more pieces automatically means more capability.
FIELD//MED-1 is built around a simple standard:
Useful equipment. Compact footprint. Every component earns its place.

Inspired out of Frustration
After years downrange in the GWOT. It was quickly realized that standard gun oils and greases weren't built for the demands of real combat. They often broke down in extreme heat, attracted dust, sand and debris, and required constant reapplication. Frustrated by products that couldn't keep up, a veteran decided to engineer his own solution. What started as a personal fix became Black Label Precision. A line of firearm lubricants designed by someone who understood exactly what a weapon system needed to perform when it mattered most. Built tough. Built right. Built by someone who's been there.
