ColdSnap Cold Weather Firearm Lubricant
Engineered for freezing conditions where standard gun oils can thicken and slow firearm operation.
ColdSnap Firearm Lubricant is a low-temperature gun oil specifically formulated to maintain dependable flow and protection in cold-weather environments. Whether you are hunting in freezing temperatures, training during the winter, or operating in snow and ice. ColdSnap helps reduce friction while protecting metal components from moisture, rust, and corrosion.
Unlike heavier lubricants that can become sluggish as temperatures drop, ColdSnap is designed to keep moving parts properly lubricated without sacrificing adherence. Its water-resistant formula stays where it is applied, supports smooth cycling, and helps reduce buildup for easier cleaning—even when running suppressed firearms. (Shake well before applying) Bottle comes with precision needle applicator with cap with tether.

Inspired out of Frustration
After years downrange in the GWOT. It was quickly realized that standard gun oils and greases weren't built for the demands of real combat. They often broke down in extreme heat, attracted dust, sand and debris, and required constant reapplication. Frustrated by products that couldn't keep up, a veteran decided to engineer his own solution. What started as a personal fix became Black Label Precision. A line of firearm lubricants designed by someone who understood exactly what a weapon system needed to perform when it mattered most. Built tough. Built right. Built by someone who's been there.

FAQs
Please read our FAQs page to find out more.
Will ColdSnap freeze or hinder my weapons performance in freezing temperatures?
Answer: No, this is due to the thinner viscosity blend that ColdSnap is known for. The ideal amount of viscosity to stay where it needs to stay and not run off. But to resist freezing until reaching -30F.
Is ColdSnap safe to use on AR-15 bolt carrier groups (BCGs)?
Answer:Absolutely. ColdSnap is ideal for high-friction components like AR-15 bolt carrier groups, pistol slide rails, and trigger assemblies. Because AR platforms direct hot gas straight into the receiver, they run incredibly hot. ColdSnap's heat-resistant barrier actively prevents the carbon baking and friction drag that cause cycling failures. It manages to handle these extreme changes in temperature and continue to stick to surfaces to reduce friction and carbon buildup.
Is this firearm lubricant safe for polymer frames and specialized finishes?
Answer: Yes. Hellfire is completely non-hazardous, non-flammable, and 100% compatible with all standard modern firearm materials. It is perfectly safe for polymer frames, Cerakote, anodized aluminum, blued steel, and nitrided surfaces, protecting bare metal without degrading your firearm's finish.
How does ColdSnap perform on suppressed firearms or full-auto weapon systems?
Answer: ColdSnap excels under the intense backpressure and thermal stress of suppressed shooting. Because suppressors trap extreme heat and direct heavy carbon fouling straight back into the action (Especially if it's not a low backpressure can) standard oils tend to burn off or turn into a gritty sludge within just a few magazines. ColdSnap's unique formula resists carbon baking and won't thin out, keeping your host weapon running smooth and reliably under the harshest suppressed conditions. All while in the freezing cold adhering to surfaces to reduce friction and increase reliability.
Does ColdSnap make carbon buildup easier or harder to clean off?
Answer: It makes cleanup significantly easier. Because ColdSnap handles extreme cold as well as extreme heat rapidly without burning off, it prevents carbon fouling from baking directly onto the bare metal components of your firearm. Instead of scraping away hardened carbon crust, you’ll find that the fouling stays suspended in the lubricant layer, allowing you to easily wipe your bolt carrier group and receiver clean with a shop rag.
